POPULAR CITY CENTRE COURTYARD OFFICES TAKEN BY PUBLISHER
The Courtyard in Sturton Street has acquired a new tenant, Windhorse Publications, the Buddhist publisher. Established in 1974, and based in Cambridge since 2007, it publishes life-changing books on meditation, mindfulness and Buddhism.
Publishing Director, Peter Joseph, said: “We are moving to The Courtyard from Mill Road mainly to have a longer-term lease, and in premises closer to the Buddhist Centre in Newmarket Road. Also, we are very glad to now be in the heart of Petersfield, and within easy reach of pretty much everything in Cambridge city.”
Mark Robinson of the agents Robinson Layer said: “Windhorse is taking a unit of 330 sq ft which has been extensively refurbished by the landlord. It had been occupied formerly by the Hoipolloi Theatre.
“It is very popular with charitable and social welfare groups, mainly because of the flexible leasing terms and its central location. These groups regularly seek to expand their accommodation within the Courtyard, freeing up smaller units. Two other small units are also becoming available shortly, but are most likely to be rented to existing occupiers in The Courtyard, but a larger unit of 875 sq ft is still very much available at only £17,500 per annum.”
