LITTLE GYM TO TRANSFORM MILTON WAREHOUSE
A rather boring standard warehouse in Milton is about to be transformed into a wonderland for children. Robinson Layer has let a 3,600 sq ft warehouse in Winship Road to The Little Gym which is relocating from French’s Road in Chesterton.
Mark Robinson for the agents said: “We have agreed a new 10-year lease at a rent of approximately £31,000 per annum. The Little Gym was a really unexpected applicant for what is a bog standard warehouse unit. They have plans to totally change the appearance and character of the building, adding a modern, inviting entrance behind the plain shutter door!”
Ned Baring of The Little Gym said: “We offer developmental gymnastics classes to children from four months to 12 years old. The Little Gym Cambridge has been running successfully for six years from a location off Victoria Road in the centre of Cambridge. The redevelopment of our current site has precipitated our move and we are really excited about our new more spacious facility at Winship Road.
“I was a geography teacher before I opened The Little Gym Cambridge. While I love teaching, I made a decision that teaching children in a seated classroom wasn’t for me. I felt restrained, wanting to give my students a richer out-of-classroom learning experience than the curriculum allowed.”
The Little Gym franchise was set up more than 40 years ago in the USA and now has 400 locations worldwide.
